Dawn Hill earned her Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and a Master’s degree in Community Counseling at the University of Akron. She is licensed by the state of Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory designation. She is certified in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy through The Wellness Institute in Washington.
Dawn has over 10 years of experience counseling children, adolescents, and families. She has worked in a variety of settings comprised of residential treatment, school-based counseling, in-home therapy, and foster care. She has extensive training in assessment and treatment of adolescent sexual offenders and trauma-informed care.
Her experience and interests include post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, addictions, co-dependency and physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Dawn uses a holistic approach in Cognitive Behavioral therapy, a Solution-Focused family systems approach, and the mind/body connection to improve overall well-being.
